Mackinac Island has some of the largest lilacs in the world because the climate and soil are ideal for the flowering plants.

Learn how to plant and care for lilacs from Lilac Docent Anne Borowicz. At the end of the session, you can take a small lilac plant home with you. Free event, one lilac plant per family.
