Inside Out Guided Walking Tours

Experience the magic of art in unexpected places as the Detroit Institute of Arts transform this historic island into an outdoor gallery. This exciting initiative showcases high-quality reproductions from the museum’s art collection in the streets, parks, and public spaces.
Immerse yourself in art as you stroll through the charming streets of Mackinac Island, where each corner reveals a new masterpiece. Inside|Out makes art easy and fun to explore, right where people live, work, and play. It’s a unique opportunity to connect with art in a friendly, accessible way, showing that art is for everyone and everywhere.
Guided Tours will be lead by DIA Docent – Kathy Lewand and will begin Tuesday, June 25, 2024. The tours will be offered every Tuesday and Thursday weather permitting. Tours are FREE.
THE DIA AT MISSION POINT tour of the installations – Tuesdays at 11:00 am. Please meet at the main entrance of Mission Point Resort.
THE DIA ON MACKINAC tour of the installations on Grand Hotel property and downtown -Thursdays at 10:30 am. Please meet at the Lantern Level of the Jockey Club.
