For a Rainy Day
Way back in the middle of the 1800s, famed writer William Cullen Bryant remarked about Mackinac Island’s “delightful” summer climate with “agreeably cool” nights and daytime heat tempered by the surrounding water. Still, as picture perfect as the Island’s weather is, sometimes it does rain. And when it does, there are unique ways to spend the day including magical butterfly conservatories, museums of art and culture, working blacksmith shops and a vibrant downtown with one of-a-kind stores and attractions.
