The Adirondack chairs on the lawn beyond Mission Point offer a beautiful view of a sunrise, sunset, or lapping waves at the water’s edge. Marquette Park is the perfect place for a picnic lunch. Find a few snacks at Doud’s, and bring them to the foot of the statue in the park’s center. Listen to the gulls and watch the world go by in the park. Near the Visitor’s Center downtown are boat slips and a sidewalk along the docks. It’s a great place to sit and reflect, walk with a friend, or just enjoy the weather.
