Celebrated Detroit artist Mark Arminski has created the poster for the past two Mackinac Island Music Festivals. Arminski's influences include Warhol and fellow Detroit Artists Grimshaw and Mouse.His work may be found in the permanent collection at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, USA, the fur Kunst und Gerwerbe Museum, Germany and galleries worldwide. Shopping Mackinac Island Style
Mackinac Island is a shopper's haven with plenty of delightful shops lining the downtown streets. Main Street and Market Street have the largest concentration of shops: from galleries to casual clothing and gift shops. Nantucket lightship baskets and scrimshaw are especially popular as is perusing the local art galleries for a Mackinac Island inspired painting or print.

Fudge

Willie Wonka would love it here. A specialty of the island is fudge, there are five main fudge shops with several locations each and all offer free samples. Trying the fudge is a treat in itself and no trip to the Island is complete without it. All offer shipping and a few make fresh fudge year round. more


Lilac Festival
Each season a new Lilac Festival Poster is created and donated by Richard Wolfgang. There are twelve posters in Series I and this season we present the first poster of Series II. In addition, we offer Lilac Festival Letterpress Stationary, chrome on chrome keychains and wine glasses embossed with our festival logo.

Mackinac Island Mall Shopping
There are four small malls on the Islandk; Surrey Hills located up Island, the Lilac Tree Mall downtown, Horse Corral Mall downtown and Carrousel Shops on Market Street.

Resort Shopping
Grand Hotel
offers Tiffany Jewelry, an Aveda Salon, gourmet foods & clothing for guests and non guests alike and Mission Point offers gourmet foods, resort wear and spa goods. There are several spas and salons on the Island to pamper yourself with services and goods. Many touristy Native American and collectible craft & souvenir shops abound during the season.
