Horses, History & Hospitality
Nestled in the straits of Mackinac where the upper and lower peninsulas of Michigan meet, Mackinac Island is a National Historic Landmark.

Horses
Because we care about our horses, we prohibit the use of personal motorized vehicles. Instead all enjoy leisurely horse drawn carriage tours, trail riding, biking, hiking or walking.
History
American and Great Lakes history is rich on the Island with Native American, voyageur, missionary, military and the who's who of days gone by.

Hospitality
With over 40 places to stay, wonderful attractions, great dining and shopping galore amidst some of the most breathtaking architecture and natural scenery in the world, Mackinac Island offers the traveler an incredible experience.
Fishing
The sport of freshwater fishing is alive and well on Mackinac Island and enjoy your catch of perch, salmon, walleye, muskeye, steelhead, pike and whitefish.
